Fèis Phàislig

The Ask:

To build a new identity that celebrates a decade of growth and creativity for a community at the heart of traditional music, arts and gaelic culture in Renfrewshire.

Our process
Client onboarding to workshop direction, goals and rebrand scope. Identity, including bespoke clef icon, bright fun colour palette and updated type styles. Process also included presentations to board of trustees, digital brand guidelines and a wide range digital and print assets.Ongoing support with merchandising, photography, Fèis Week and Fèis Ceilidh Trail materials.
The solution:

Fèis Phàislig has spent ten years providing traditional music and Gaelic cultural experiences for young people across Renfrewshire. We worked closley with the Fèis team to build a fun and bright identity, full of personality and joy. We wanted to create a mark that represented the young people Fèis support, whilst also being smart enough to engage with adults, funders and partners.

The range of bright colourways, and the nearly-endless joyful musical applications have allowed for a more coherent approach for the brand when it comes to signage, events, merchandising, and project materials.

With web assets delivered as part of launch too, the Fèis website had a lovely glow up too—with improved accessibility thanks to the new font, updated colour palette, and an improved level of brand consistency thanks to a scaleable digital-first logo.

Music, community, friendship and culture. To launch the new brand we created a fun video to introduce the new identity, and to capture some of the amazing young people who take part.

Clothing galore

The best thing about designing fun brands is making fun merch! Fèis Phàislig is no exception and it’s been great to create merch for a range of sub-projects; like the award-winning Còisir Ghàidhlig and the nationally-touring Fèis Ceilidh Trail. Plus a ton of comfy hoodies and t-shirts to wear to all your favourite gigs.
